Bitcasaが「容量無制限」プラン終了です。

サービス改善は仕方がないですが、今時2段階認証もない上に、他の有力オンラインストレージと比較しても容量に魅力がなく、費用対効果にも疑問しか生じない状況だっただけにザンネン。

しかも今日10/24(金)突然メールが来て、1ヶ月の猶予もない11月15日までに新しい契約に移行しないと、「あんたのデータもアカウントも全部けしちゃうぞ！」ていう、かなり上から目線の一歩的な警告文を送ってくる辺りに誠意も何も感じません。

以前の対応でも似たような感じでしたが、まだオプションなどもありましでした。

たまにクライアントが暴走したり、iPadのアプリがバックアップ設定しても途中で止まって全然バックアップしなかったりとトラブルも多かっただけに、丁度良かったかもしれません。

容量的には他のプランに移行しても大丈夫ですが、対応のまずさに今後が思いやられるので、この辺りで縁をきります。

Changes to Paid Plans
On November 15th, Bitcasa will be ending its support of Infinite storage plans. As a current infinite plan subscriber that is using less than 10TB of space, you have the option to convert to our new Pro plan, which offers 10TB for $99/mo. or $999/yr.

This change coincides with a service update, which will make your Bitcasa experience faster and more stable. But we can't just flip a switch. In order to keep our zero-knowledge encryption in place for your account, you will need to take the following steps to make the conversion:

1) Log in to your account from the web
2) Select a new storage plan
3) Click to automatically transfer your files
4) Download our new Bitcasa apps

IMPORTANT: you must complete this process by November 15, 2014 or your account and all files that have not been transferred will be deleted.
